Overview
A magical morning or afternoon spending time with elephants at Kanta Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai. This is a great opportunity to spend quality time with elephants in their natural home as well as to gain an insight into their history and behavior. This half day elephant sanctuary tour will create cherished lifelong memories of their time spent with these amazing animals with friendly, happy elephants in a safe and sustainable environment.
You will be picked up from your accommodation and driven approximately 50 minutes to Kanta Elephant Sanctuary. After the introduction you will change into your uniform and have a chance to feed the elephants bananas, sugar cane and other delicious treats! You will walk with the guide through the elephant sanctuary where you will find free roaming elephants. You can touch, feed, photograph and interact with the elephants as you please while the guide provides a fascinating educational experience.
Next we walk to the nearby river and watch as the elephants wade and play in the water, here you have the chance to join in the fun and play with them in the water. Once they are clean you can take some more photos before parting ways with your new friends and head to the showers to change into dry clothes. You can take a look at some photos to buy whilst enjoying some fruit, coffee / tea before heading back to the city.

Tour Plan
06.30 -07.00am Pick up
We will pick you up and drive 50 minutes north to the Kanta elephant sanctuary.
08.30am Arrive at Kanta Elephant Sanctuary
Walk through and learn about the elephants, change into traditional clothing and prepare fruits for our elephants.
09.00am Meet the elephants
Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment and get muddy as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants.
10.00 am Elephant bathing time
Walk with and observe elephants when they are in a river for bathe and you have chance to join them.
11.00 am - Program wrap up
Get some tea, coffee and season fruit then say goodbye to the elephants.  Leave Kanta Elephant Sanctuary and drive approximately 50 Mins back to Chiang Mai. Drop off at your hotel or accommodation.

We had a truly memorable day out at this elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai, the staff were so kind and caring and we learnt a lot about the elephants during our time with them. We got to feed them, swim with them and as much time as we wanted just hanging out with them! Highly recommended.
